Finally got to tow my 6x12 motorcycle trailer. It felt like it wasn't even there. I also installed a Tekonsha Voyager brake controller that I had on my Mazda CX-7. Works like a charm!

Hmm, I cant find a picture with the boat attached....so here is just the boat. It is about 4000 pounds loaded and fueled up. Tundy tows it much better than my Tahoe did.

Finally got a chance to tow with my Tundra, bed was loaded with 6 pairs of wheels and tires and tools, and the race car on the back.

Drove up to Rosamond on highway 14 North to Willow SPrings Speedway, about 45 minutes from LA. Averaged about 14.2 mpg going about 65-70 mph all the way.

Loved it so stable and effortless, like the trailer was not there.

So how is everyone hauling bikes and ATV's in their beds doing with their tailgates these days? Anyone else popping or cracking welds?

I took the family out this weekend, picked up an 11' Christmas tree and drove it home 18 miles on the freeway with the tailgate down. After hearing some of the horror stories of Tundra tailgates bouncing off while traveling with them down, I placed a cargo strap around it and cinched it to the trailer hitch just to be on the safe side.

The guy who helped me load the tree looked at me like I was crazy. I don't blame him, it's kind of rediculous to have to use a workaround in order to feel safe about using the truck the way you ought to be able to use it.

I have been using mine just like I used every other pickup I have owned. Load atvs, bikes, etc. etc. If it breaks it is under warranty. When I get close to end of my warranty I might be a bit more cautious. No breaks or cracks yet but I can see what a stupid design it is and expect it to break. I am thinking about putting a tool box in the back so I won't be tempted to load my atvs in the bed. I have a trailer to haul them all but I don't like hooking up to haul one wheeler to the hills for the day. I live in Montana and there is NO WAY the dealer is going to tell me loading an atv over the gate is excessive because they are also a Ford dealer and everyone around here does that. ATV's are even street legal in Montana so everyone and their dog has them here, it is a way of life.

No complaints about towing on here. Different from the 5th wheel discussions.
