Carven TR Exhasut

Never heard of this exhaust until last week. Probably watched every YouTube video out there for it. I think its one of the best sounding mufflers out there! The company has only been around since 2015. You'll see them mostly on Rams then Chubys. The TR is the same as the Progressive Series for the Ram if you do a search and want to hear it. The Competition Series uses their R muffler.

This thing is heavy for as small as it is. Excellent build quality and stainless with a 100 year warranty!

The tip is stainless ceramic coated black and laser etched Carven logo, its badass looking!

Going to get it welded in tomorrow! Will post vid up once done.

Just happened to have my 64 oz RTIC, and thought ...... coincidence.....LOL?

Check them out:

Headed out to get the Carven installed.

Took some decibel readings of the Bassani to compare (phone sat centered on Center console for all readings):

Cold start and idle windows up radio off:

Peeked at 77 db at Start then settled to 46 bd.

Highway 80 mph windows up radio off:

Peeked at 84 db full throttle merging onto highway then settled around 70 db. To be honest at highway speed I can barely hear the exhaust over the Kuhmo M/Ts.

With radio cranking Metallica it was in between 76 db and 80 bd.

Just got back from getting the craven installed. Gotta hurry up with this so I can go drive it some more!!!!!

After driving back 68 miles the note has gotten slightly louder from initial start up. Idle is up from 46 db to 49 db on average (same test in my driveway with windows up, radio off and just idling.

Ok, driving on the highway, your infidelity know this exhaust is there. There is some drone at highway speeds, for me not a big deal. This is subjective so it may intolerable for others. Merging onto the highway at WOT, windows up radio off and phone on center console it peaked at 81 db and settled around 74 bd. I would say it stayed more around 76 db. Just happened that's where I screen captured it.

So the Carven is on average 3 db louder at idle and 4-6 db on the highway over my Bassani. i can definitely heat this exhaust over the rumble of Kuhmo M/Ts unlike the Bassani.

I will try to get a sound clip. This is the best sounding exhaust I have heard so far. I haven't heard a BAM system yet, but will get a chance to hear a 8" stainless BAM next week at the meet in Jeff City.

It is near stock at idle at light/stop, and then when you take off the guy with his window down sitting at the passenger rear is about to get woke up.....RACE TRUCK Bruh!

I think the best way to describe it is the way someone else described it, it's if they took the best of a Flowmaster 40 series and a 14" Magnaflow and got rid of all that makes them bad, you have a Carven TR!

Driving around town it sings anytime you touch the skinny pedal. If your off the skinny pedal its like your in stealth mod quietness. Taking off WOT this thing is eff'n MEAN!

Need to go drive some more! still need to burn a 1/4 tank of gas!

I know a lot of you think showing pics of just the tip is enough, but I assure you, the ladies wanna see the whole thing!
If you're going to show off your custom exhaust, please show a pic of the whole thing from underneath... as the real benefit of any exhaust on the tundra is the piping and routing, with the muffler & tip maker being a very low factor in total performance.

Carven TR. When the video goes in the cabin, all the windows are down.

Yes, I know the truck is dirty. It's been raining off and on for the last couple of days.

Sounds much better in person.

Drone on the highway, not really to me, buts that's subjective to each person's tolerances. It is louder than my Bassani at highway speeds.
