Airaid or K&N Cold air intake?

I know there are a ton of posts on this but I am just wondering which is a better overall design. I have seen and heard a lot of complaints about the K&N cai. My main question is on the K&N (model 63 I think) the heat shield does not cover the bottom of the filter and the airaid heat shield does cover the bottom. I would thing the airaid would be a little better because of this. What are your opinions about each of them? They are pretty much the same price but I think the heat shield and filter design on the airaid are a much better design overall

I've had airade on my old cars and trucks and been very happy with them. Never had any issues.

Neither! I got a call from Banks a couple of weeks ago and their new CAI for the new Tundra is right around the corner.

I've actually used both K&N and Airaid on previous trucks (the Airaid I won at a truck show) and haven't had any problems with either one. I was reading another thread on intakes and saw one of the vendors is having a raffle or something on the K&N.

Thread jacking on this forum happens all day long, it's actually one of the cool things about this site. Everyone just goes with the flow. The Banks CAI is supposed to look like all the rest of their enclosed gas intakes.
