A flowmaster 40 single into duals with two turn downs is what i will eventually be getting. I was just wandering what it would sound like to do that to the stock exhaust, just to tide me over till i get the cash for my flowmaster setup. Since it would really cheap to do.

Like this.......
clickSounds the same, just 10 lbs lighter. I'm not a big fan of tailpipes, especially fake duals.

'yota decided to go with a bastard size tail pipe (2 3/4") so a shop will need to shrink/fit a piece of 3" or stretch a piece of 2 1/2" to fit. Since the resonator is straight-thru, there's no restriction and it fits perfect.

When you turn your exhaust downward its not as loud to your own ears as it is when its turned out the side.

I misstated on the single in, dual out. I had a brain fart and was thinking of my friends truck, but ment a dual in, dual out dumped. I like the sound of exhaust dumped and don't see the difference in dumped or out to the side. It may be a little louder, but dumped is gonna be loud anyways. I like the clean look of no exhaust showing. For the factory exhaust, I wasn't gonna spent any cash, but like a couple of bucks for a turndown and a clamp. Thats a big difference from the flowmaster when your wife looks at your receipts! Thanks for the info.

Just an idea?
Here is a web page where for a good price you can get a pipe bender and do a custom exhaust yourself. The prices are good too
Harbor Freight Tools
