Tundra ECU tuning with Reflash

I gave my spare Tundra ECU to a Tuner name Matt of OVtuned. He has tuned other Toyotas and Lexus', but never knew about our Tundra community. Well he dismantled and decipher the tune in one day. He then wrote a blog. Check it out:

Luckily I'm local to his Dyno. I plan to actually finally get a custom dyno tune with a reflash along with a transmission control unit tune for my 2800 High Stall Torque Converter. (You hear that Phil!-lol)
This Friday, he'll have his first N/A Tundra on the dyno, next week he'll have 2 S/C Tundras. I'll post up the blogs after.
He is building up a ROM database for the Tundras..

So just thinking, why wouldn't Toyota conservatively modify some of these tables to boost the performance of these engines to stay more competitive? So it's not a premium fuel 91+ truck?

they don't want the truck to have to use premium fuel and you know toyota, maximum reliability while being very conservative

That was one turn off a little when I was looking at the 6.2 GM, it needs premium

it's not like it was years ago either where each octane goes up .10 in price, so premium would be .20 more per galling than 87.

they gauge now and charge way more for premium

The 5.7L N/A truck on Friday will actually already have 91 octane in the tank. A base run then tune mod with 91 will be done. We're all anxious for the Before & After dyno numbers results.. Stay TUNED!!

I would be more excited if he could tune out 30% of the torque management. Maybe then I could use more of the power I have when I want

I can only assume they really upped the torque management on the new truck vs the 2010 I had.

I know they changed the sensitivity/speed of the throttle body to pedal relation. But you would think same power same engine would be about the same quickness @ wot.

So the new rig has smaller testicles? That sucks. Are they geared the same? I know I would miss my 4.30:1 rear axle ratio if I swapped for a truck with anything numerically lower.
