I got this one based on what I read here and other forums . If you get the aFe , get the one with the Dry Pro filter . I've seen some people having problems with the filters that use oil , causing the MAF to give trouble codes .

Just my opinion .

Runs good, the filter is by Green filters, it sounds like a turbo blowing off.

Looks great man!! I just installed a Volant on mine Tuesday evening. The Volant is in the way of the engine cover. The cover now sits a bit cockeyed. Did you have this problem with the AFE? I have noticed a gain in MPG +1 so far. Banks exhaust to come.

After installing my Volant I think a guy would be better off just installing a high flow drop in filter. Preferably a dry filter. Would save $$$. The stock set up pulls air from the same location as these after market CAI's.

This brings up a question I've been asking my self every time i see one of these CAI threads.

How hard would it be to modify the stock airbox to become a "CAI". Every car I've owned the most common "homemade" mod is CAI, yet no one seems to have figured out howto do this for our trucks. Guess I know where I'll be spending my weekend

The stock box is a true CAI. The air enters the box from outside the hot engine compartment, thus cool/cold air enters the box vs hot, under hood air, entering the box. A plastic box & tube is a much better insulator than metal for keeping the intake air cool as it enters the engine.

The aFe fits well , you have to adjust the tube to make it fit . Pretty simple to do .
