Proforce Exhaust Installed with Pics and Video!

The long-awaited day has arrived - the Proforce exhaust is ON! This kit was well worth the wait. The welds and overall quality of this kit is much better than the Magnaflow.

The Proforce is exactly what I wanted to replace the droning Magnaflow! It has a very slight rumble at idle - it's not much louder than stock. It's very neighbor friendly under normal driving conditions too. However, at WOT, it's nearly as loud and throaty as the Magnaflow! I was afraid that the Proforce might be too quiet under load, and I was happily surprised. It's an incredible blend of both attributes.

The key difference in the Proforce can be heard between 1,500 and 2,000 RPMs. When declerating with the Magnaflow, when the RPMs would drop to this level, the drone was unbearable, like "BWAHBWAHBWAHBWAHBWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHpopsnortsnort snortpop".

With the Proforce, when you're slowing down and the RPMs drop, it's half as noisy and the tone is more sophisticated and defined. Instead of snapping and popping, this kit just decreases in sound and volume, like "bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."

Do you like my scientific ways of trying to describe sound through text?! heh.

The only thing I'm still getting accustomed to is the tip location. When it comes to trucks, I've never been a dual tip fan. I always do a single or dual side exit. Still, I really liked the tip design on the Proforce and I also like how the tips "tie-in" around the hitch and lowest part of the bumper. Makes it look more intentional than just exiting on the most outward parts of the bumper.

Here are my vids:

WOT with a rev at the end: Proforce Exhaust - Putfile.com

Short WOT run: Proforce exhaust 2 - Putfile.com

Short WOT run: Proforce 3 - Putfile.com

This one has too much background noise...I made a turn and then slowly accelerated: proforce 4 - Putfile.com

This exhaust will definitely give you some nice top-end power and a nice throaty sound.

Any chance you could do a cold-startup from in- and outside and also a drive-by? Also a steady-state run at like 65 and 70 MPH would be great to find that highway drone if there is any. Thanks!

Oh, there is some drone, it's not bad or unbearable. But there's no mistaken the drone. I find it comes on around 62mph, and stays till about 70mph. If I can find my camcorder today, I'll take some in cabin vids on my way to work tonight.
