Spec's on New Harley Edition F150

I saw this on TruckTrend today and had to laugh. A 2008 supercharged F150 with 450 horsepower and 500 ft/lbs of torque and it runs a 15.0 1/4 mile and a 7 second 0-60. And guess what, all for $50,000!!! What a joke, considering a $27,000 Tundra 5.7L Double Cab can run mid 14's, low 6 second 0-60, and is naturally aspirated.

that doesn't add up. weight is just over 5000 lbs. My DC empty weighs 6100 (with canopy on). with that much power and weight, it should be running much quicker.

I'd rather have the "Raptor" than the Harley version. I hope Ford brings this out and really successful so other companies do the same thing.

You have to run premium when supercharging a motor. Heck, you should run premium when using a programmer (to avoid detonation).

The curb weight they listed for the F150 seems off. They are heavy trucks. Plus, having a 4 speed auto and 3.73's doesn't help.

I still say something is off on their tests. The old harley trucks with the supercharged 5.4's were a mid 14 sec truck, and they were rated at 340/425. They were basically a lightning with a slight detune and a back seat. 450 horse not capable of reproducing at LEAST similar numbers....something isn't right!

i dont think so man. look at it this way the previous lightning were only a cab and a half i believe or maybe quad runnin on stock 20s. this beast is a quad cab runnin 22's. thats a big difference in munbers rigth ther prolly close to 2,000 plus ibs. its a beautiful truck but i wouldnt pay tat much for it. ther is so much difference in old body style and new hahah i mean look at wut our trucks came from lol

The old Harley trucks didnt have the same 5.4 as the Lightning, it was a stock 5.4 with a supercharger, where as the lightning had some work done to it.

Must be geared to pull tree stumps and not much else. Wonder what the MPG is in that bad boy.

That would be incorrect. The ecu tunes are slightly different between the two and the Lightning runs a 2.93" upper pully opposed to the 3.25" upper pulley on the HD. Besides that all internals are identical as the engines came off the same assembly line.

The reason it only runs a 15.0 is the crap oldschool 4spd auto and the fact that saleen always overrates their power. That truck probably only makes 350hp to the wheels then it has to be geared 3.73 because all it has is that 4spd with only one overdrive. $6500 for a blower that realistically only adds 100 or so hp to the wheels is ridiculous just buy a standard f150 Harley and a kenne bell and you'd be able to walk all over it. The interior is nice though and overall it looks pretty good.

Oh of course the F-150 Harley Supercharged is clean. In the comparison of looks hands down it wins. But in overall bang for buck the tundra is a clear winner. If I was looking for a pretty truck I would consider Saleen F-150/ GMC Denali truck/ or the Escalade EXT. Those are trucks that have looks and you don't use them for hauling and stuff. But if you need a truck like I do and worry about the interior getting dirty and you can't really keep it clean then you buy the truck with the most power with cheaper price. But the Harley F-150 cannot compare to the Tundra because it is a luxury/pretty truck. The Tundra is an everyday usable truck. You don't worry about the tundra when you drive it. But the Harley that's a pretty truck. For someone that doesn't use their truck.
