K & N CAI and JBA Dual Exhaust

Just installed both to my 5.7 Crew Max and hearing a high pitch whistling sound in the cab when I get on the throttle. Anyone know what this may be caused by ? It's pretty annoying.

Seems to be a common issue with many CAI units. Some people are more sensitive to it than others.

It almost sounds like it is coming through the speakers. Does it at certain RPM levels. Kind of reminds me of the sound you get when an amplifier is installed and is really throttle sensitive. May go and pick the brain of a service tech at Toyota to see if he can shed any light.
The sound of the JBA is awsome with very little drone.

The K&N I have on my 4.7 has a whistle when I really push the fun pedal. Other than that it just has a mean growl when accelerating rapidly. The whistle is not constant, sometimes it will do it and other times it does not. I have checked all fittings for leaks and dont see any. At this point I am not terribly worried about it as others have the same thing.

I have the k&N and at part throttle it does whistle at middle rpm ranges 2-3500rpm or so. At full throttle though it's just loud and mean.

And now the CEL is coming on when the outside temperature heats up. No light early in the am and around mid morning comes on and stays on until late afternoon. Thinking about scraping the K & N and going to something else.

Maybe it has too much oil and when the air charge temps are hotter its making the oil more viscous and in return sending it down the intake tube and getting on the MAF, I suggest taking the filter out and cleaning it and not oiling it and then see if its still doing the same thing.
