Ford Thunderbolt? Kill

Anyone ever seen one of these. Lowered Ranger with duals and THUNDERBOLT decals on the tailgate and quarters. Is is something someone put together? Or a specialty truck. We ran from a dead stop me spinning a bit. He didnt. I have a RCSB with TRD CAI and duals. We only ran to about 70 where I had 3-4 car lengths. Now I have run Hemi's and full size Fords including a F-250 smoker and gained more distance. I would say this thing was as fast or faster than one of the Silverado SS's I have run. I was very impressed.

Google is your friend...

SLP Thunderbolt

Doesn't look particularly special. Just a Ranger with some tacky add-on's and CAI/exhaust mods.

Thanks. I would think more than 222hp but it is light. Absolutley faster than a full size Ford F-150. Although he could have had more mods. And most likely did. He would give a Hemi a run for sure.

The main thing is you beat him. Coming close only matters with horseshoes and hand grenades.

I was wondering about a Thunderbolt kill. They where only made one year.It was a 1964 Ford Fairlane with a full tilt boogie 427 FE ram air high riser that was built to run against the 426 Hemi Cuda's and other light weight Super Stocks of the day.
