if anyone ever says "the louder the better" they are just simply uninformed. If you want it loud just go buy a K&N cone filter and a few couplers and put it straight on the TB... that'll be good and loud for ya.

I just got the Tundra. If True flow wants me to dyno it, they will put one on. I am in communication with the person who engineers them.

not sure if you are familiar with sarcasim, but i wasn't referring to the louder an intake is the better it performs. I just simply ment i like intakes on loud side at WOT, with that nice growl. As most people though, performance is still my main concern and that is why I am curious to how this intake dyno's in comparison to the other brands available. Im sure they are all very similar though just gives you nice piece of mind seeing the dyno sheet.

Just installed the xdi today! So far I'm impressed with it's sound, not loud on cruising speed.... until you step on it! Man, it growls! I have the Zoomers cat-back and now it sounds complete. According to my gauge, I've gained about an extra 2 mpg. There is a picture of it installed in the tundra on True Flow's website, which was a big selling point for me. The intake matches the color of the engine cover. Overall, I'm stoked with the sound and the looks. I'll post up pics soon!

Looks pretty decent I can't wait to see your pics. I really cannot believe the choices in intakes we have now we just need to have an intake shootout to see which one performs the best. The true flows filter really seems to filter out the dirt better than the other intakes on the market.

True Flow sent me the intake yesterday , which I installed in about 30 minutes. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer.
They want me to run it for a few weeks to get my impressions, then we will dyno it with and without.

My first impression is that it adds a really nice mellow rumble in low to medium acceleration. If you stomp it it gets your attention quickly.
It seems to have more throttle response although in shift range it falls down a bit. That may be more transmission than anything. I think it amplifies the sound, of the lag you would get anyway, that you don't hear with a stock intake.
I really like the sound WOT
I will have to check mileage after I get over the need to stomp it for the cool sound and feel.
I do use my truck to pull a 4500 # enclosed trailer. My mileage currently is between 10-12 depending on the need to get to one job or another.
I may take a small trip next weekend, without the trailer, to give it a highway test for mileage.
By the way, my initial testing hasn't been hooked to the trailer.
Again I will post dyno sheets
thanks
Don
