Bassani Exhaust installed!

I just picked up my truck with my Bassani mufflers and duals out the back installed and it sounds absolutely perfect.

I elected to buy the Bassani universal mufflers, a cheapo x pipe and have the exhaust shop fab me up a dual setup.

1) The sound and tone are awesome. If you like that deep, tuned Bassani tone, then you know what I'm talking about. I went with the larger sized mufflers to keep the sound down and so there's really no drone at cruising, just a nice song under load/acceleration.

2) I chose the rolled edge round tips (straight cut) and I must say, that it looks REALLY good. I've always had the slash tips and I kinda like the look of the rolled edge tips with the chrome bumper.

3) The only bad and it's really not that bad, is that with the way we had to install the mufflers (like books vertically) if you squat down you can see the mufflers. If you squat down on the other side of the truck, you can see the fuel tank, so it's really not that big of a deal. I may try to find some heat resistant flat black exhaust paint and paint them, no one would be able to tell otherwise.

I highly recommend this setup to anyone. It cost me a total of:

Mufflers $280 shipped
Install $267 with tax
X pipe $50 shipped.

So for about $600 I got a custom setup with large Bassani muffler(s) (for better flow and not as loud).

Noteworthy is that if you want, Bassani will custom fab up just about any type of muffler setup you want for $150. Just call up their tech and tell them you want a dual in, dual out or dual in center out or single in offset, center out, or whatever.

I'll have pictures and video soon.

there are different types of pipes. There are x, y, and h's.

An x is like a h, where as you can still run true duals but it equals out the back pressure.
