Borla Catback Dual rear exit install.

Got my Borla exhaust sitting in my truck and can't find anyone to put it on for me. Everyone is "booked" up or too expensive. Shouldn't be no more than a couple hours to install. All bolt on, no welding what so ever. I'm this || close to going to Pepboys, buying a couple ramps and doing it myself. It's all bolt on, shouldn't be too tough a task.........right?

If you have a sawzall, drill, socket set & a little mechanical knowledge, you can do it. Just double check the clamps after driving a bit & heating up the exhaust.

The pipes will need to be cut? I thought they were all precut to fit my truck? In anycase, I found a Midas near my house that will do it for $95.00. That's the cheapest I've found so I'm just taking tomorrow afternoon off and heading out there.

I can hear it now... Ohhhh that sound. All 5 windows down and the sunroof opened. Listening to XM or MP3. Definitely getting all the looks. Now the wife is getting disturbed by this. She's even noticed women are staring at the truck. I just smile

I don't have a sunroof. On sunday after I installed the CAI, i put the family in the truck for our weekly trip to bed bath and beyond. The wife didn't mention anything about the sound and it was pretty loud when I stepped on it getting on the freeway. I gotta feeling she's gonna notice the exhaust after today.

My wife knew right of way. She knows I like the sound. She enjoys it also. She's just afraid of the truck having too much power for her to use it. I don't say a word. I have both sets of keys

Ah, I wish I would have seen this thread yesterday. There is NO cutting whatsoever unless you have a RCSB. They didn't use ramps to install mine either. Your bolts might be fairly difficult to get off if you have some miles on your truck.

I have never installed a CAI but I'd assume it's easier to install exhaust.

Hope you like the sound!

I got the RCSB. Sorry Syb, I didn't see you've got the Crewmax. But for $95, I would pay for it to be done.

If the kit you bought is specific to your truck and its all bolt on you can do it yourself. I did mine in about 2 hours with no problems. I do recommend a creeper to make the job go alot smoother.

Again, if I was near-by I would do it for you (free).

I will be out in CA on the 5th of April....Moving to Edwards AFB.

Thanks guys. Install complete and definitely something you could do............if you have a lift and a jack stand. It would just be too much effort. I'd rather pay the $100.00. The truck was up and down within 50 minutes and that's cuz the guy took his time. I don't even know it's there until I mash on the gas. Windows, up, nice and quiet. IT'll get louder with time but I don't mind.

Yup, what Mickey said.

It sounds the BEST on a nice day out. Take it to a parking garage BUT, I advise you to bring a new pair of underwear.

You know we want the pics.... I already know the sound. Tonight I took the wife out for dinner since she got off late and I got to try the new TRD Shifter. Man it feels great in the palm of your hand. Wife asks what is that? Pointing to the shifter. I stated you want fast food or a resturant? She ask What is that. I told her its a resturant finder. Then she gave me that look and ask do they have one for the Prius?
