**Just purchased JBA Headers**

Hey guys,

I just picked up a set of JBA headers for my 07 Tundra that I just purchased. The only reason I went with the JBA's and not the Thorleys was price and I went for a ride in the JBA R&D truck and it flat out halled ass.

I just purchased the headers from the guy below and I received tracking same day so he a good seller.

eBay Motors: JBA 07 08 Toyota Tundra 5.7 V8 Exhaust Headers SS TRD (item 330194002261 end time Dec-09-07 07:15:06 PST)

After they are installed I will give you my feedback.

Has anyone installed or tried the Doug Thorley Headers? I have used the Tri-Y Headers from Northwest Off-Road ( I am pretty sure they are made by Doug Thorley) on a Toyota 22RE and they worked well and quality was great.
I am trying to decide between the two. Any comments or thoughts??????????

The JBA stuff is really nice...I have JBA's on my 05 Tacoma and really like em. Thorley makes a nice piece, but I do not agree with the Tri-y design on a vehicle with this much power. Tri-y's are typically used for low displacement motors that need help in that area and they would be perfect for the 22RE. But with almost 400hp on tap, I believe JBA to have built the more usable piece.

Picked up the truck last night after having the JBA headers installed and OMG is there a bunch more power.

I did not think it would have made such a huge difference but they showed me my stock manifolds and I saw where the power came from.

This was worth every penny of $500.00 for the headers and I recomend this to all 5.7L drivers. This made a much larger difference in power than did the Volant intake I put on last month.

Wow, $500 is a deal.

The headers do make the biggest difference, but it does work in conjunction with the intake and an exhaust.

OK, so now I am sold on the JBA Headers, my next question is..... is this a one man or a two man job to install the headers. It does not look like there is that much room for working in that area. Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Man, I'm ready to pull the trigger on some headers, I'm just not sure which to go with. There is a thread over on TundraSolutions where Thorley & JBA are supposed to go head to head to see who is making better numbers. Right now I can get the JBA for about a 100 less than the Thorley so that will be a big influence too

How much dose the "Ceramic" coating improve the flow on the headers? Is it worth the additional charge?

Until JBA shows some balls and steps up to the plate, my money is staying in my pocket. I will at least give Thorley credit for saying they would participate and provide a set of headers free of charge to a third party for testing. JBA has yet to respond.

The exhaust note got much deeper with the addition of the headers. The power is amazing now that I have added the headers and for $500.00 you cannot beat the dollar per HP.

The best price so far has been the guy on e-bay.

Get the JBA's..

They are less expensive and I called JBA about the head to head test and they said they have a performance guarantee. They said if I buy the product and am not pleased with the power it makes they will give me my money back.

What do you mean...

JBA said on Tundrasolutions that they have a performance guarantee so I called them and asked about it. They said if I order the product and am not completly satisfied with the power it makes then they will refund my money.

I also purchased the JBA's as I wanted Stainless Steel as we all know Stainless is far superior to mild steel and I want the product to last. I had mild steel headers on my last truck and they had rust on them in 6 months.
