I purchased the Stainless as I am not going to add a blower and I do not tow. I think it is worth the extra money if you tow or plan on supercharging as it keeps the underhood tepms down.

$500.00 for the complete kit was nice also.

I also purchased the JBA's as I wanted Stainless Steel as we all know Stainless is far superior to mild steel and I want the product to last. I had mild steel headers on my last truck and they had rust on them in 6 months.
I dont particularly care about their performance guarantee. I dont want to have to get it here, take it off, and Im sure pay shipping back to them if it doesnt meet my expectations. They still as of the last I checked, had never replied to any of the challenges to allow their product to be tested independently. I wont trust their results until that happens.

That guarantee is weak to me.... they need to put some skin in the game... They have NO risk... simply getting my money back doesn't pay for the install to put them on then take them off again if I don't like them.... then buy the DT's who have stepped up...

The last two Toyota trucks I have had both (still have the 4.0 Tacoma) had JBA headers on them and I was very pleased. Since I am in the market for the new 5.7L, I have been researching on these forums. Although I find a lot of this dialouge to be childish, it is entertaining. JBA will get my coin for the 5.7L as the Doug Thorley is made of a lesser material, is a tri-y, and is unproved in this arena (Tundra). I saw the Thorley dyno and it is good for nothing...zero power (and some losses!) across the power band except for a torque spike due to shifting. If Thorley can't do a dyno pull, how can they even build a tuned header?? In regards to a JBA dyno, which I really want to see a full image of, they assured me that the gaines were clean and across the entire power band and got 20hprw and 20tqrw. Something else to consider between these two different designs is that JBA does the rest of the exhaust too. Typically, exhaust parts are designed based on what other parts a company will make, hense the differences between the two different offerings. Oh, and when a company makes a "guarantee", it's because they do back up the part, and the performance, and the quality.

Well I DO own a 5.7… 2008 CM to be exact… not just dreamin'.... and I don’t base my buying decisions on apple vs. oranges…. Since you have only had JBA’s on another vehicle how does that make them better in this application?
Reality check…. They are both good products…..
Let’s face it… both dyno’s are “good for nothing”…. That’s why many of us are waiting to see the two step-up…. I could care less who says their product is better on paper…. Just because JBA “assured you” it was clean…. You actually believe this?
As far as the guarantee…. You’re kidding right…. They both have one… Anyone can offer a guarantee…. And most do…. This is assumption/confidence based marketing 101… I find it fascinating when consumers get sucked in by this….

...I simply assist with the purchasing of goods for a nice size contruction Co. out of Arizona. We are taking delivery of 4 new Tundra's next week for fleet services. JBA made a great offer on all the trucks so we are moving forward with the JBA headers and exhaust. Thank you for your input. The forum was very helpful with our decision to go with the Toyota Tundra and JBA products
