I have read and read about both and I own(ed) the Interceptor. After having problems with two of them it is going back for a full refund. The new Bully Dog Platinum street price isnt much more than the HTI was going for so I was thinking of giving it a shot. I know when the BD was hundreds more $$$ everybody said it was a waste over the HTI. Is that still the consensus? I would be most interested when towing my 6500# camper in how it would perform. I thought I read I would need to switch to the tow tune a good bit before actually towing to make sure the ECU flashed OK and then have the truck relearn things. That could be a pain unless I just used tow tune daily.
So now that the BD is cheaper, what do you guys think?
Mine is on it's way! Will post some feedback in the next couple weeks. I wanted it for towing primarily and for the other features as well so if anyone has any feedback on the tow tune, please chime in.
Installed my BD Platinum last week (physical installation), but haven't had a change to load a tune yet. Will post some feedback when I do. @dirtydeeds had it at my door in a week for a great price! (and it had only been on the market for a very short period of time)
It won't loose features and should be getting more. Guess its still hard getting into the ECU. Other brand of vehicles have tons of features and hopefully we get that soon.
