American Toyota of Albuquerque was showing me a new TRD lift they were putting on a new crewmax. I didn't have my digital cam on me, so I had to use my cell phone. The pics don't do this truck justice! It was awesome!

You sure the lift kit was from Toyota TRD and not a third party?

What kit is this? The ToyTec one doesn't seem to be an appreciable lift at 3" in the front if it won't accomidate 35" tires without rubbing. Getting 33"s put on doesnt seem good either since the TRD package is basically stock with 31". 275/65/18. A 65 aspect ratio of 275 is 31.1" on 18's. Yours in the picture looks like a bigger lift, I am wondering if that is because it is airborne, thus removing spring tension. I like the look of the Toytec but I am wondeing if Revco or one of the other manufacturers is putting out a 4" soon. Any idea?

I'm not 100% but i think the highest spacer lift they ever make is 3" once you go over 3" it gets into better more complicated type lifts! but what are you plannig on doing with your truck? the toytec lift will allow for 35" tires with different rims or if you have 20's stock you can fit a 285/65/20 or 18's you can fit a 285/75/18 but only toyo makes a tire that size.

I was measuring the truck wheel wells and previously read that a 33" would not rub, and that a 35" would. I think a 35" would actually fit nicely, only rub I could see would be during frame flex on 3 wheels. The wells themselves with a 3" lift on 35's still leave 2" front and back clearance of the well. I can believe that you could get well rub vertically though. The wells are 39"+ at the bottom and I believe the Toytec could work with 35" tires.

I need the truck raised and want to run higher due to the lease roads I travel for work. I am a Directional Drilling Engineer for oil companies in West Virginia and spend a lot of time on muddy lease roads getting to wellsites. I don't want to be Mr. Bottomedout. Have planned on 35" before I bought it, was hoping it was doable.

Procomp will be releasing their bracket lift very soon at 5.5". The price I believe is around $1550. Although without a shock upgrade, a lift such as this is really only to get your bigger wheels. If you add on a nice set of coilovers such as the DR's or Saws it should be a nice set up.
