Lyle, was that S/C Tundra you guys had on the Dyno all stock other than the S/C kit?

How will this tune handle the addition of say headers & open exhaust? The ECU is pretty smart but I just wanted to confirm that with your tune the ECU would still be able to compensate.

This looks to be a great product BTW!!!

looks like it at least had dual exhaust

BD Responded: "the S/C Tundra stock runs were done using the TRD supercharger tune, not the regular OEM tuning that comes with every N/A Tundra."

So as of now the tuner will work on my sc tundra? I thought they weren't going to support that originally. I am really curious to see how the tuner will be effected by my urd pulley. My truck still runs really rich with it as it is.

it will but the s/c tune has not been released yet. they expect it to be released in 2 weeks or so

Should be interesting. Wonder if the truck can handle the urd pulley and that tune. Should be close to 100hp gain with the two.

Oh one last question, will this allow sc tundras to run aftermarket or ram air intakes? As of right now running either will throw a code for too much air.

how much did they get off the S/C tune, I'm too lazy to scroll thru a 2 hour youtube video.

Tyranie 09-05-2013 05:07 PM

I think it was 70hp and 71tq. Something around there

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet but if they have a tune for the TRD supercharged trucks there would be no need to go to the dealership for the programing anymore. What that means is if you buy the supercharger and then the tuner no dealership installation fee's!

HULZAZZ 09-05-2013 07:41 PM

For those that were questioning the low dyno numbers, look at the truck they did before. It put down 402whp stock tune and 472whp after.

That seems about right for 20% drive-train loss, but it just shows you different trucks, wheels, atmosphere etc can cause greater variance in dyno numbers. I say it's not how much power it puts down, but how much it gains on back to back pulls is what really matters.

unless you want to remove the BD tune and take the truck in for warranty work, and trust the shop jockies not to wot your stock tuned truck. No thanks.
