Can feel a big difference on a snowmobile starting at the lot around 8k and going to 12-13k.

So 25hp is about 5.7 percent of 381. But they are saying 25 hp at the wheels.
Drive train loss normally 18-25%....
Interesting for sure

Right from the box tuning that is released the turbo will not be supported. However, if we ever decide to offer custom tuning then the turbo could be an option

Thanks for the offer Edwin! As of right now we have plenty of test trucks but we will keep you in mind.

I would assume elevation does not matter, as long as you are comparing before and after dyno runs on the same day and conditions. Yes your dyno numbers may read low compared to sea level, but it's the difference in stock vs tuned that matters. Maybe on 93 they can squeeze another 5-10hp out for a NA truck.

Was the 70hp gain on the SC truck on 91 or 93?

Thanks
Brad
I havent got a chance to speak with the engineer on this one but i could only assume it was on 93.

Bd has to be kidding on this one.

I came to the tundra from the cummins world where bd is a decent tuner for a box tune type of hand held but the king of tuners is EFI live. From the sounds of things a few of the guys on here could use a custom tune capable hand held such as efi live. The vast majority of the guys on here...myself included would love a tuner where I could flash in a 50 hp tow tune and then have a 100 hp street tune. I would be thrilled with nothing more than that and if bd has broken the codes and with some testing this is easily do able. The issue with going much higher than what I've listed is guys wouldn't be able to control there right foot and would be floating valves/bending valves etc...running these things to lean and detonating the life outta the engine.
My opinion on the tranny tuning is that this could be a huge mistake....to many things going on in there that are pressure sensitive and unless you have gauges hooked to the appropriate ports and doing some data logging etc and having a full understanding of how things work, Toyota would be inundated with slipping convertors and poorly shifting trucks.

I hope they offer up a better programmer and cut the cost to the appropriate $4-500 range for comparable tuner offered to other mfg's.

Ill just sit on the side lines and watch the carnage for a while....hahaha

Just my .02
I also have several diesel truck's, while I agree it would be nice to get the same kind of power from just a tune as you do on a diesel is never going to happen they are just too different, you'll never be able to add a 100hp tune to a gas engine without sending pistons thorough the hood. Efi love is the best but on a gas engine they don't make 100 over either, on ac corvette you gain about 50 with a really really good Tuner writing efi for you.

I have a rare rear mounted custom made Turbo kit. Its a Huge one at 78mm. Where as the perfected S/C has a set amount of max boost which equates to about 500HP, my Turbo has a potential of over 600+HP, but I'm blowing all that extra boost out through the Waste Gate and only using 400HP due to the limitation of the stock ECU..which somehow happens to handle a low 3psi. IF BD could custom tune for an aftermaket Turbo bolt on it would be huge. A Turbo is a way cheaper route for extreme boost. I'm currently experimenting with a TRD Tuned ECU to increase my boost, but a "Bully Dog Turbo Tune" would be BadAzz..

Supercharged Flex Fuel Tundras are non-existent due to dealers refusing to install it on those trucks. Any supercharged Tundra will work.

you want someone to guinea pig their FF to you so you can install a supercharger and test your product, but you won't buy the supercharger?

Sell about 6 of your tuners and you have just paid for your test supercharger.

What happens when you blow up the dude's FF truck?
