Woulda,coulda,shoulda- I'm not gonna make u feel bad for what u paid for it, but it will b a learning lesson for next time. Timing is very important for vehicle purchase also knowing what is possible & knowing u r doing them a favor for purchasing the vehicle not the other way around. If u paid $31k for it u paid a little to much for it. Bit that is done with n if u really want some more power n can't afford a big sum of cash at 1 time (like most people can't) then save what u can n plan on trading it in when u r not upside down. Cause even with a super charger I don't think u can get the power of a 5.7, these r just my opinions. Also do as much research on here n everywhere else to c what people paid for their new 5.7. My 5.7 dc w/trd had a $37k sticker but I got em down to $30k. So anything is possible especially since u paid that for a v6 u just got to hit the dealer well prepared n don't take no for an answer!

I agree with above posts, it is what it is now. But bigger tires will slow down vehicle a lot, like I said before I am familiar with the 4.0 v6 since I just traded in a 12 4runner the engine is not setup for power or speed. Save up for a trd supercharger before you upgrade wheels or lift my 2 cents.
I don't know when you bought it but I believe in some states you get 48hrs to void a car purchase contract.

Guess that's what I get for deciding that day to go trade my truck in. I called them and they are looking into what they can do for me but I doubt it will be much.

I had an 06 Tacoma with the 4.0 and it is a great motor when used in the right vehicle. Granted the 4.0 in my Tacoma isnt as powerful as the ones in the Tundra. But when I had that truck I had Borla catback exhaust and K&N CAI, those helped the truck move even quicker, not by a whole lot but it was noticeable and sounded nice. So if anything, do the cheaper and simple mods to the engine first like exhaust, intake, then throw on some headers and see if that will suffice.

I'll try to post pics when I get home. They gave me 8k for my old truck, and I put down $1200 cash so I only financed around $23k. Hopefully they call back and can do something, since a don't really have any cards to play at this point.

BTW are there any extras on your tundra that could have added to the price or is it a base model with absolutely nothing in it? Just curious. I traded my 2011 in but it cost me 28k and it was a Tundra grade DC with the 4.6, tow package and spray in bed liner and that was sticker. Just curious how the sticker on yours got up that high...

what are the chances some of the headers for the fj/4r will fit the tundra? I think it is unlikely but worth some looking into. If you don't want to get rid of the truck, I would look at that then a supercharger. Your truck won't be a drag strip champ but a blown v6 that can exhale should run very well.
