Volant CAI Causing Mas Sensor Malfunction???

I took my truck in to get the check engine light looked at. They said that my Mas sensor was bad due to too much airflow from my CAI... Is this possible. They said I should put the stock intake back on. Anyone have this problem?

Clean the sensor, and make sure it is installed correctly. I've never heard of a sensor going bad because of too much airflow, lol.

I call BS. I don't think it is possible for an engine to get too much air; that is exactly what a turbo does, it force feeds air into the throttle body.

Yes. It's a ploy to get my money. So now they want me to buy a $282 fuel cleaning and a $510 transfer case and differential oil change...

Bingo..if your Volant uses "cleaning oil" then you probably over oiled it, happens with the K&N quite a bit. Clean the sensor and take it easy on the oil (if that is the case).

Mine did the same. But the clamps just came loose. Readjusted it and haven't had any problems since.

Did this happen right after the CAI install? If so I agree. It all adds up if you do the MAF correctly. Literally and figuratively
