What is a piston going out? Did it melt? Did the rings pop? Etc just curious.
My guess is as good as yours. He told me the piston was damaged that's all.
Talked to Bati yesterday and told him if he knew the guy by chance. Unfortunately he didn't. But he told me that JE performance pistons are easy to find with a cheap price, around $800 for all the parts. The labor however will cost around a $1000 at a decent shop.

Interesting. Pistons usually are ok, unless put under extreme temperatures or excessive amounts of knock. I would expect the rods to go first.

Maybe it wasn't too much power that made the damage. Bati suggested that he was probably running to lean with that much boost which made the engine go bye bye. He knows that many tundra owners with the complete pulley kit and the setup he posted a couple of pages back are running stock pistons with no issues.

Well my sc pulley is on. no trouble puting it on. I did foul a plug bc to rich so I hoping just the sc pulley will lean it out just right. ImageUploadedByAutoguide1352343381.394308.jpg
Used this rubber band strap wrench and it worked great to put it back on. I don't think I have ever used it before hahah

I took the fan and shroud off left every think elce in. I used a 3 jaw pulley puller just a cheap one from harbor fright. Had no problem with it coming off. Let it cool over night and but some wd40 on it a few hr before. I will try to find out the size of the puller and get some pics for u. I did not damage the pulley at all when I pulled it off.

Apparently they do have the upper pulley in stock. Ordered one for my cousin back home yesterday and its gonna be shipped today. Who ever wants one should order now so that they won't suffer through the 2 - 3 weeks of waiting

What size bolt goes inside the S/C pulley before I screw up the threads? I rented a 2/3 jaw puller from O'Reilly's but cant get it out. S/C is not installed yet so the puller spins with the pulley on every rotation.

It was a grade 8 bolt if I remember correctly.
