Another new guy here.
(Sorry, don't have pics with me so no flame-throwers, ok.)
Always nice for a first post to be of a dumb mistake.
I've got an '08 Slate Grey Crew Max with black textured n-Fab nerfs and Line-X bed liner.
I love the UnderCover Tonneau.
I *STUPIDLY* hit the garage door button with the lid in the 'up' position. The steel arm on the garage door dug a 4"-5" long slight gouge in the dead center of the trailing edge of the lid. The scratch actually 'wraps" over, just onto the trailing edge of the top of the cover.
Any ideas to cover the scratch?
I was thinking of trying to get a piece of metal (or plastic), having it 'bent' to follow the contour of the rear lip, then covered with Line-X. Then, either drill 4 small holes, or use an epoxy (or JB Weld) to mount it.
Could end up looking like a 'factory' hand-hold type of piece??? (or it could look like crap???)
I would leave it the way it is, and make up a much cooler story then the one you just told us.
Perhaps you were driving through Perth Australia when a Banditos and Camanche motorcycle gang war broke out, you tried your best to escape the madness but there was no way around getting out of your rig to beat off the waring tribes on near or about your undercover cover. Before you knew it three bikers had you cornered, and so you did a spining round house, hitting all three square in the jaw bone, rendering them unconscious , when along came all three of there old ladies who swore their devotion and love for you, so hit all three of them on your undercover, leaving a terrible scratch, then you left and flew home. hows that work?

I feel honored by the tale from Beericus ! On my 1st post no less... I knew I'd need to post pics, but I also knew I'd forget to post if I didn't do it while I was thinking about it....

Thanks for with-holding the flame throwers. I'm on another forum and I've definitely seen the "This Thread is Useless Without Pics" thrown out there....

I called the manufacturer yesterday (UnderCoverinfo.com I think). They said they've received quite a few calls from people with the same problem. They don't really have a "fix". They have however been asked by several people if they would like to market or buy their idea of a fix. To date, they haven't bought off on anything yet.
