for the price of the factory navigation unit, you can buy a nice aftermarket double din headunit that has all the features youre looking for. check out crutchfield.com for a wide range of options. and if you order from there, it'll also come with the dash kit to install it.

I attempted to price out OEM parts for that same project for my truck. The price climbed well past $2500. If I remember right, it was actually heading for $5000. I gave up on that and headed over to Ultimate Electronics for an after market. That was so much cheaper. Unforetunately, the stereo/nav system I picked out was discontinued. The other devices were just not what I was looking for. Oh well, eventually the right item will land in my lap. Maybe then it will be able to be hooked into a sonar system too. I love my truck but parking that B-Otch is a pain sometimes.
