wheel bearings

So I know my wheel bearings are worn our already on my 08 tundra, So I called the dealer askin if it was under warranty, i explained the truck was lifted so they said sure bring it in. OK, so after I wait around all week to take the truck in on my appt day they called and told me that my wheel bearings are shot on my drivers side. I explained to them I knew that and was wondering what the process of them putting new bearings on. Then the guy said well since your truck is lifted it voids the warranty. Im gonna go down there and bitch, but until then....

Does anyone Know where I can order me some bearings offline? I tried searching already but I dont know the exact part #. Any of this information would be greatly appreciated and very helpful! Thanks again!

Cowchips bro. Someone needs to come out with a repair manual. Did you try to get the number from Toyota? Let me know, I will be at the local toyota dealer service advisors house this Thursday and maybe I can ask him to get me that number.

Have you gone to a parts store with the number to see if they may have it or one that will cross?

if they are shot on one side....why not the other??? that must be because of the lift too. there is no way a rear wheel bearing can go out from a lift. tell them that the cause must be directly related to the lift. id raise hell before id pay for anything

Ask them to explain exactly how a lift can cause the bearings to go out. Front maybe, rear no way. They can not void the warranty just because there is a lift on the truck. They have to prove the lift caused the problem before they can void that one warranty repair. And if they can prove that, then you can call up the lift company and tell them that Toyota proved their lift caused the problem and therefore the lift company should pay for the repairs.

I thought it was the front bearing on the drivers side. Seems the problem might be more than just the bearing, if it's even the bearing at all. Its a problem with the fitment of the lift. I thought it was the bearings until my dad did some research on the topic and now its a fitment issue with the lift or possibly a bad part where the bearings fit in the front axle!? I'm only getting play in the wheel when I move it North to South, but there is no play east to west.

I think the guy in the service dept thought he could just bs me because I'm younger. Well I asked him just how modifying your truck and putting better parts voids the warranty. He had no answer. I also asked him that since I put the lift on that there is any other warranties that I voided. He had no answer. I then asked him if there was anyway he could just get me the parts under warranty and I would do all the work myself. He said "no"; my reply "I'm thinking because you think I'm some young punk you can get over on me pretty easily. Thanks, but I'll spend my money elsewhere when purchasing another vehicle and getting in touch with your supervisor." He was speechless.

I hope this didn't make me look like to big of an a-hole. I just don't like sometimes how people in his position look down on the youth. My .02
