Hey....Does anyone know a company or place to get a locking gas cap? Really wish Toyota would have a locking gas door..In this day and age, why would you not? Thanks for any info.....
I got a Stant one from a Toyota Dealer. That way, if I get a Check Engine Light after a few days as a result of the cap, I can get it exchanged or get a refund. Cap works ok. No CEL.
are they high quality locking caps? i mean do they really lock or are the like tonneau locks?
both are high quality. the AMI locks more like the older tonneaus
the Stant, once you unlock it & twist a little, you can remove the key & twist the rest off(and cost like 1/10th of the AMI)
although nowadays thieves are puncturing the tank, rather than syphening...

boy would that piss me off, if someone punctured my tank. maybe its better to not have one. 50 bucks worth of gas sounds a lot cheaper to replace then a tank, or to repair one anyway
rental car company said they've had theirs' done
someone came in drilled & took
I imagine they'd have to replace the entire tank(just a guess, but I bet they probably don't sell the tank by itself)
I guess if it got that bad, we could always setup one of those transfer flow tanks in the bed..
