Hit a deer...

Need a bumper replacement. Not real new to the site, but have been lurking in the shadows for a few months and this is my first post.

I have a 08 DC that I bought in Jan. I hit a deer the other night (1st one in 21 years of driving in the Upper Peninsula of MI) and am looking for some advice. The front end damage is pretty significant and I was wondering if now is the time to upgrade to a better bumper. Anyone do this lately? I don't mind spending more to step up, just curious what it would take. Anyone out there do any estimates?

I really like the look of the Fab 4 bumpers. Do they cover enough to avoid replacing some of the plastic? I am not looking for any serious offroading/winch set-ups but am keeping my options open.

By the way, I have enjoyed the suggestions found here and have been enjoying my Tundra. So far, I have put in a Rhinoliner, WeatherTech mats, and 3/1 Low Range Offroad so far.

Welcome to the site. Mickey hit a deer, I'm sure he will have some input. Toxarch has a pretty killer front bumper check his out.

Revenge will be mine...

I appreciate the quick responses and the link. The damage on mine is less than Mikeys but still breaks my heart. I will send some pictures when I figure out how. I really like Toxarch's bumper. I want.

By the way, I hit it about 2 miles from my house. After the anger subsided, and I had enjoyed some calming liquids, I took a knife and went back to extract the backstraps. Somehow, that calmed me a little. I field stripped it on the side of the road. I'm sure the whole scenario looked a little bizarre to the passing motorists. The smile on my face...the blood on the hands...but I digress. The offender will be enjoyed this weekend on our 4-wheeler ride. It will enjoy its second run-in with a grill. The first one he met was my truck's. Now he will meet Mr. Weber.

I recommend going with a different brand. Problems with this one and they refuse to fix it. Fab Fours is similar and haven't heard of any problems with them.
