Black AMI Locking Fuel Door

Anyone have this fuel door installed on a black truck? Do the colors match or are they different shades?

The finish is a semi flat so it probably won't match perfectly but I'm sure you can color match it yourself without a problem.

I put one on mine. I'll take a pic tomorrow.. The color does not match as the fuel door is flat black.

You're right but it's another step that a gas thief might not be willing to take and move onto an easier target. Or you can get tamper proof screws like Dez did. Then the thief would need a special tool to remove the screws.

Agreed. Anything you can do to stop or slow down the thieves will help. Hopefully they'll move on.

I remember my dad always telling me "locks only keep out honest people."

It's true. Where there's a will, there's a way. If someone wants something bad enough, they'll eventually get it.

No matter what screws you use, someone can just rip it off the truck if they want it bad enough . The bolts just screw into 4 plastic clips which can be easily torn through with enough force.

I hear you really want one! Haha, I changed the stainless allen heads to stainless tamper proof, they won't be able to take it off unless they pry it off, by then the alarm is howling.
