Fire & Ice LED Light Bar - Issues?

Hey everyone,

sorry to post another thread regarding this.

I got mine last Friday and immediately installed it.

I took my time installing it, making sure to wire everything properly, measure everything so it was dead center and as far down as it can go, cleaned the surface and all.

Once i installed it, everything looked perfect - EXCEPT my tailgate rubs on it.

Does anyone else have this issue? It's not a little rib, its actually alot of rubbing, it stops my tailgate from going all the way down unless i push on it.

I remember reading something about having to shave something off of the lightbar to get it to fit. I'd ask Mickey.

Well this thing is messed up

looked great for a few days, but the tailgate has actually put enough pressure on the light bar to crease it

there is like a 5 inch crease, which actually makes it look like some of the LED's aren't working.

I have e-mailed realtruck.com to see if i can get some sort of warranty replacement

then maybe ill try some sort of shaving or whatever

i really like the look when its normal haha

well i figured out what need to be done.

Part of my rear bumper needs to be shaved, or "dremeled" down.

realtruck.com are some of the most helpful guys on the planet.

They are getting me a replacement unit sent out ASAP, and i dont even have to pay for shipping on the other unit back to them.

I will dremel off that little lip on the rear bumper and re-install it.

I really love the way this thing looks.

Any other truck accessories i need, im going to:

I used duct tape to place mine in place. Where I thought was a good position I decided to check the tail gate and it rubbed also. So I had to move it up a little. Then taped again and it didn't rub. So I put it in place. Then problem number 2 came in. I had to dremel also where my spare tire's square hole was in order for it to fit. I Know it was mentioned about the tailgate rubbing. Until I went to put the different spare tire up I realized I covered part of the hole. Sorry for not mentioning the spare tire hole because it was a couple of months after I installed it I found it.

I'm about to smoke my tail lights/3rd brake light and WAS considering getting a light bar but all of these issues are talking me out of it.
