EGR vs AVS bug deflectors

I've done quite a bit of searching here and am wondering if there is a preference for one over the other?
I read that someone had ordered the EGR 3 times and it had arrived cracked each time due to packaging and shipping. Anyone else run across this problem?
I'd also like to get some vent visors - it looks like the AVS do not come "in channel" for the CrewMax - are the EGRs good?
Thanks!

Check out my old post: Lund Interceptor II vs. EGR Super Guard

I had just the opposite problem with my choice of bug/stone deflectors. I love my EGR. Been running it for almost 9 months now and it stiil looks brand new. I've also got zero paint chips in my hood so it's doing it's job.

I did see your post and it sounds as if the EGR is the way to go - also read that AVS are made by Lund
Just worried about damage during shipping that someone posted about.
I think I'm going to order the EGR Superguard and vent visors.

So long as the carrier doesn't destroy the box it ships in you should be fine. Mine arrived without a scratch first time.

Like Run it said go EGR awsome sheld with great fit, looks good, could stand to be a bit taller, those big bomber bugs still make it to the glass!!! It does seem to deflect most road "cinders" up and over good product!!

Just to be sure, the '07 EGR will fit an '08 Tundra, correct? They don't have one listed as being available for an '08.

Yes, if it fits an '07, it will fit the '08.

Got the EGR Bug Shield and side window visors in the mail today. Bug Shield didn't include a plastic tool to remove the piece on the hood - guess I'll have to tape up a screwdriver. Gonna try to do it Saturday - I'll post pic if I don't screw it up

Sorry to hear that. AVS had a plastic screwdriver with it.
