Bug Guard???

1. Do they really reduce chips on your hood?
2. Dealer quoted me at $174.00, I asked about labor and he had to transfer me so I hung up. That seems high to me but I have heard not to purchase an after market that they "never" fit as well. I have seen them online for $40.

Any advice or input?

Thanks

with like $50 you can get one at autozone. This is one of those items overpriced by the dealer.

Hey I went with the Lund interceptor II and it looks pretty sharp and contours the hood well. I can't remember which accessory.com store I bought it from. If you go with this one get a buddy to help it's an easy install but I broke one of the install plastic screws trying to do it myself, I called Lund and they sent me a new install kit free of charge. I installed almost immediately after buying my tundra and have yet to get any chips, knock on wood, well I hope this helps.

Went with the Lund also. Easy install and great fit. No dings on hood either. Ordered from J.C Whitney.

Mitch - Thanks. I saw that post. This may sound like a novice Tundra owner (as i am) but the year of the gaurd is 07. I tried to change it to 08 but it would not let me! Does that matter. I know that not much has changed but ya never know!

Thanks

I got EGR clear. Doesn't change the look of the front that much. I wish I've installed this sooner. I installed it after 2 rock chips on my windshield.

Should fit no problem. As I understand it 07->08 didn't change anything that would effect a bug shield.
