Nice pics. Now I have to decide between black or aluminum. Hmmnn. I really like the looks of that black husky over the rail but the home depot website says they are currently out of stock on them. Guess I will go visit the local Home Depot and Lowes tomorrow after work and see what they have.

I have a floor mounted box that I painted black. I used bed bolts Truck Tie Downs to mount it so it comes out easy. It also sits below the bed line so you don't see it unless you look

Thanks for the help guys. After two hours of driving around town and shopping last night, I went with the Kobalt low profile over the rail. My local home depot doesn't carry any boxes in stock so the husky was out. Liked a couple at TSC especially a black one but the Kobalt at Lowes was $60 cheaper.

Get the Weatherguard
I bought mine for about $750 after tax but I can tell you from owning many boxes in the past... Weatherguard is the BEST. They are more expensive but are WAY more secure and they will keep everything dry. I live in Seattle and have never had any issues with moisture or anything. All other boxes I've had have cheesy locks and get moisture issues.
If it's worth it to you, bite the bullet and get the Weatherguard. |
