I know it's been a while, but i got another call from bluebatmobile... he says they should be ready this week, I'm sure it'll be soon. I REALLY want this... he admits that because of our shape of lights it'll be a tough install... i'll post as many tips as i can as well as doing a write up for the install when i do it.

Those the ebay ones? How thick are they? What was the cost?

I believe the ones from bluebat will be $30 plus $2 flat rate shipping... I'll have to double check how thick they are, but I believe pretty thick. Did ebay have different levels of tint? For tails I want to go pretty dark since i have a black truck.

Tint doesn't hold well to plastic. What I've done to my cars in the past is head down the hobby shop and pick up a couple rattle cans of a product called Night shade. it's basically spray on tint.

You pop off the plastic cover and spray on the inside. Looks really good.

Not of my car, but here's one I found online. Also a pretty decent howto: HOW TO: Nightshade/Blackout Taillights - LS1TECH

Hmm, never thought of spraying the inside. All of the how-to's say you have to sand down the outside and apply it on the outside followed by a few coats of clear coat to give it the shine.

If you spray the inside the plastic acts like a clear coat.

Well yea, but I've heard that our tail-lights cannot be disassembled without breaking them. So that throws that idea out the window.
