Fabtech's 6" lift it out for the Tundra.

Linky

6" PERFORMANCE SYSTEM
Our Tundra systems feature extended length ductile steering knuckles that have been designed to operate within the factory steering geometry. This geometry provides proper turning radius with oversized tires and wheels. The factory lower control arms are relocated with high arched 1/4” thick steel crossmembers with an integrated differential skid plate for protection against offroad obstacles. The factory front sway bar is retained and utilizes extended length link ends. The Basic system features a heavy duty shock spacer system that retains the stock coilover shocks without disassembly for a factory like ride. The Performance system includes our Dirt Logic 2.5 Coilover shocks for aggressive offroad use with a good highway ride. Both systems utilizes a 3” block and U-bolt system for rear lift.

What are the differences between this and the Procomp? I've heard some people say it's the exact same thing, just with Fabtech's stamp of approval on it. If that's the case, why did it take so long to finally come out?

Also, this may seem kindda gay, but I would like the coils and all the blue parts to be red. Can that be easily done or would that be a custom job? Thanks@!

I have seen this kit for the FJ cruiser , and on that one they have to cut the cross member and drill new holes and weld in the new cross support . I'm not sure of the kit for the tundra . But I have seen people get the parts repowder coated different colors !
If the cross support on this kit is the same as the FJ , I would worry about such a drastic amount of cutting !
Also , the kits I've seen installed on FJ Cruiser's the cv joint angles are really bad and there have been alot of problems with boot failure on the cv joints !

Hope this helps !

Yes you do have to cut on this kit as well , Pro Comp is all bolt on installation !

Good to know. From what I've read, this kit is cheaper than the ProComp. The cutting is probably why. I still have about 6 months before I lift it so maybe more options will come about. If not, procomp it is!

Yes from what I've seen and read on the net , procomp is the way to go, and the cv joint angles on the FT lift are truly terrible !

Besides , with the pro comp you can take it off and go back to stock , with Fab Tec you only have to uncut the cross member . LOL !

You have to cut the cross member on the Pro Comp lift. I am looking at the instructions right now.

Unless its a 2wd. The cut is so the front drive shaft can clear and be bolted to the front differential.

looks like a pro comp stage 1 .. if you're going cheap, i dont think brand will really matter

as for the pro comp stage 2, they come with full coilovers which i recommend.

Fabtech is kind of a pavement princess type brand, and im not a huge fan.

I dont want to get blown up on because of this comment, because i dont have examples why, just havent heard alot of good things about them.

and powder coating the parts red shouldnt be a big deal at all.

Ok so they just notch around that , or do you have to remove a section of the crossmember ?
Fab tec kit you need to remove quite a bit of the front crosmember .

We have put three Pro comp lifts in now - with the way the kit is made it more than compensates for cutting the crossmenber for driveshaft clearance
