I'm going to see what Audio Express can do for me, in Richmond. If you Google Viper 5701 and go on the Viper website, you can enter your zip at the top right of the page and it will give you the closest location.

Lynx,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. There is a shop about 10 minutes away.

Have you guys found a good price with install for the Viper 5701? The shops around VA Beach seem really high.

Thanks

Haven't really shopped around but you gotta figure installation should be no more than 100 bucks or so.

I called around and the local shops are no less than $500 installed and up to $750. I think I will just buy it via mail order for around $210-250 and see if someone will install it for me.

Whoa, yea, don't pay that much. You're probably better off buying it online like you said.

When you say, "...and see if someone will install it for me" I hope you mean someone qualified bro.

Definately going to get somebody who is qualified. I did electronics in the Navy for a while (8 years) and I don't even want anything to do with it.

I know someone that installs audio; he was going to charge 30$ to install the 562cl, which is harder to install due to more wire connections. I would probably talk to a tech and see if he can do side work.

I have talked to several install techs about voiding Toyota's warranty with installing a Viper. Every one of them told me that it doesn't and they have never seen or heard of any problems with it. I appreciate the advise but the Viper has a warranty that covers damage caused by their product.

Cheers!

Nothing stock is removed from the vehicle, there is a imobilizer bypass module installed witch houses one of your spare Tundra keys and this will not void any warrantee. I ended up getting the Python 872 witch is the exact same alarm as the Viper 5701 and it works great!!!

That sucks about the toyota remote start shutting off when you put the key in the ignition. Doesn't make any sense. I just ordered my Viper 5701 with the bypass module. Now I just gotta find someone who knows how to install it.

That's one of the features of the Toyota auto start I didn't like. My new alarm has a 2 way remote witch alerts you from up to 3/4 of a mile away if there's something going on with the vehicle. You can also auto start from that distance if needed. I'm very plaeasd.
