Why would someone want to tint their headlights and tailights? Do aesthetics trump safety?

I wouldn't tint my headlights. Tail lights and 3rd brake light, yes. And yes, just for looks. I think the HUGE red tail lights just look out of place on my black truck.

Has anyone done just the inside, not the cover but the part around lights/bulbs? I heard this really looks good.

Guys, i have an update.... The kits for vinyl overlays should be ready by monday. I will be one of the first to have them and will make sure to get plenty of high quality pictures. I'm pretty excited. To see more of this guy's work visit this site: BlueBatmobile2005 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting as you can see he does some great stuff! Lets get some interest up... He has a lighter and darker tint as well.

Trust me, I know about them curves. I got so frustrated when I tried this that I crumpled up the vinyl.

id possibly be interested in tinted headlights if the vinyl is good and it looks nice .. and doesnt come off easy
