Cool First Post -- Bed Cover?

Hey guys. Got my first truck. I am loving it. 2007 SR5 5.7 4x4.

I have been looking everywhere online at vinyl covers for my truck bed. I have also been checking out the threads. There is just too much information and too many different covers.

I am looking for a roll up that is under $400. I would prefer a hinged with a roll up, but I don't even know if they make those.

Could you guys give me some ideas on what I should get and should not get?

Any other thoughts on the rollups?

I will be using the bed for camping and luggage and such. I won't be storing anything of much importance in it.

Thanks. I hope to be on this site quite a bit and contributing myself.

Tonneau Inquiry

I have tried them all! The best is Access by far! This is their web address Agricover.com: Truck Bed Covers and Caps - Pickup Tonneau Covers and here are some pics...

Truxedo LoPro QT.
Just installed it. Took longer to open the box then to install it. Looks good, very low design.
Had a LiteRider on a previous truck. Never had any problems with it. Just didn't look good with how high up it sat.

I think I paid about $375 for the Truxedo. Agree on the install. Took minutes. Glad I did not let the dealer charge me an hour's labor for install.

I use an Extang Black Max. I had extang on my last 3 trucks. Easy clean and rolls up easily.

Bed Cover

I have a Truxedo Lo Pro and am very happy with it. Installed it myself in under an hour and it keeps 99% of the water out.

I just bought a Craftec soft cover for $199 + $29 shipping of their website. I wanted one that was cheap, that could be removed or installed easily, and low profile. This one fit what I needed. I put it together last night, but the instructions suck. The quality appears good.

Well the consensus seems to be that they keep the water out pretty well. I am looking at a couple different ones though.

Truxedo Truxport
Extang Express
Access vanish

Anyone care to give me their opinion on which might be better and why?

I have a BakFlip. Low profile, locking feature (with locking tailgate), and keeps 99% of the water out. Paid 685, no tax, no shipping charges. Good luck.

I am in the market for a cover also. Are there any previous threads we can use as a source?
