Replacing the steel w/ oem alloys?

Anyone know if the tires from the base 18" steel wheels will work with the 18x8 alloy rim? Seems they should be fine but wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something.

the base 18" steel wheels are 18x8 also. Same diameter, same rim width. That's all the tire cares about.

So the sensor can't swap from one rim to another?

If I wanted the TPMS to work would I need to buy a new set of sensors?
