Rim and Tire setup

I am really craving a set of wheels and tires for my Tundra. It's a white double cab 5.7 4x4. I don't plan on doing any serious mudding or off roading anytime soon or rolling up in the 'hood in it. lol Just looking for a nice set of 20'' wheels and some semi aggressive tread tires. And I think black rims would look nice on the white...if y'all come across anything that sounds like what im looking for maybe post a link or a URL...thanx in advance. Oh and I just ordered the Toytech lift for it...3"
I know some of yall have that installed and really like it.

Quite a few options there, Id suggest a Nitto Terra Grappler or BFG AT for the tires.

All wheels can be found at American Racing Wheels, Custom Wheels , ive bought a couple sets from them and never had any problems.

hey bassman! you have the same truck as me. I'm planning on getting a set of black rims as well but would prefer a chrome lip on them, if you come across any let me know. I have found a set that I like but there only 8.5 wide and wont fit the tire I want to well. I also have the 3" toytec lift with 1.5" add a leaf in the back. I bought some black step bars as well so I think the black rims would look great. but all my friends say it wont look good at all. I guess we will see when I get some new rims.

Thumbs up

Yeah I think some black stepsides would be a must with the black rims...especially with the lift. I've never seen a black on white Tundra but the picture in my head looks good...lol. Yeah i'll let you know what I go with and post some pics.
Did your buddies say why black rims wouldn't look good on the white?

This is not my white crewmax, but I am interested in a similar set up as well. This set may give you a better visual of a black on white configuration.

I think it would look pretty good myself, but it could also possibly look like a cheap company truck, especially on white.

So what did you guys ever decide on? I have a white Crewmax also. Looking to get a more even look to the stance. Not sure if I will get a level kit or a lift. I still want to stay as close to the factory ride as possible. I've looked at the BFG AT and Nitto Grapler. Actually woner if there is something less agressive out there without going to a road tire. Post pics if you have them.

I am looking at upgrading my tires. Would anyone happen to know if a BF Goodrich TA KO tire, size P285 65 18 would look good and fit without rubbing? My truck is at stock height, but I am looking at leveling the front. I can only do one project at a time. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

You are only looking at approximately 1/2 inch increase in diameter and width from the 275/65-18's that are stock on the TRD package Tundra's, so although I have not tried it, I would be very surprised if you had any problems with running them on your Tundra.
