Prewired?

I'm looking to purchase a Tundra, however the package that I want does not come with the foglights/driving lights. I was wondering if all Tundras were prewired to accept the installation of these lights later on.

Pre wire

I've heard that they should be pre-wired for just about every option, as it is cheaper for Toyota to just make one harness with all plug ins that will fit in all Tundra's. So I think you should be in luck, you may have to do a pig tail splice though. Again don't know if that is 100% true or not. I know my old Expedition was pre-wired for stuff that I did not have(seat warmers)

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I had heard that too, but I'm not 100% either, I would check with a local dealer but not the dealership your planning on buying from, I've learned to ask opposing dealers questions becuase the other guys just want to sell the truck.,

If you do end up wireing it yourself be sure to run a couple more wires than you need. Then down the line if you want to add something else the wires are there.

Anyone else care to chime in? I've asked various dealerships and none of them can give me a straight answer.

Hate to make a post like this but if you want to find out try searching the parts catalog and see if there are any variations with the different models and wiring harness. Even though the harness is the same, maybe the ECU or the module could be different. Maybe it would be missing a relay or suppose to go into the fuse box. These are just potential problems even if the harness is the same.
