Question Brushed stainless steel step board -- Hard to install?

Howdy!

Has anybody tried to install the Brushed stainless steel step boards that you can buy from Toyota? I was wondering how hard they are to install on a Crew Max 4x4.

I was thinking about doing them myself. The dealer wants a lot to do this.

Thanks!

Well, I got my new Crew Max on Saturday. It was easy to install them. Actully 8 bolts for each side.

I paid $637 for the brushed stainless steps boards.

I just installed these Rampage 5" nerf bars on my CrewMax. These bad boys attached using the factory bolts - and used 7 bolts per side (the front bracket only attaches using a single bolt). HOWEVER - it wasn't a case of just attaching 7 bolts either side. First you have to bolt the brackets to the truck, then you assemble the nerf bars (attach the end caps). Then you fit the nerf bars on to the brackets and bolt in place using 2 nuts and bolts per bracket.
Don't expect the bars to necessarily come pre-assembled. I'm not a mechanic, I don't even normally change my own brake pads. So this was a task for me (not having a well equipped tool kit with 2 sockets the same size etc - having to use plumbers grips and a socket ). It took a total of around 2 hours to install - including aligning them and leveling them. As I stated I didn't have the right tools for the job, so it took a lot longer. I figure it should take an hour with the right tools.

I paid $289, and they look awesome!

Easy install, if you can turn a bolt and understand left from right you can do it in an hour max.

Westins on my SUV rusted out pretty bad. They weren't stainless but still left a bad taste.
anybody no anything about these others?? Manufactured by Luverne, Nasta, ICI, Dee Zee and Putco.

Looking for stainless this time for my Tundra I'm having built right now.
Thanks
