I never heard of Stampede till now and I guess I didn't realize how squared off Bushwhackers were till you compare the two. I really like the more round look of the Stampede.

I'll trade you my stampede flares for your bushwacker flares if you don't like them!!! Lol
Figures, a day late.........as usual for me. I missed that deal. There are however a couple other deals like it at slightly higher prices, but still well under the BW prices. There is a deal on a 4 piece set of the Stampedes for 309.00 which is still great compared to the BW's.
I might have to jump on those and just wait until I replace the tires to install them. I am afraid they would look a little silly with the stockers.

Hey let me ask you, did you go for the smooth finish or the textured finish? I see some of these come in both. Not that I plan on painting mine but was just wondering if I go with textured is painting out of the question? And where does one go to get that cool painted look?

Hey Rob,
The bushwackers have a smooth finish, I Had a friend of mine paint them. A quick scruff with a 3M pad and then were ready for color and clear. Any paint shop will be able to shoot them. If you ever get a textured plastic "anything" you'll pay quite a bit more to have them smoothed out. High build primer and wet sanding adds to the cost.

I myself was completely in the dark on this one. This is great to know.
I may just go with black in that they will contrast the paint, like the tires, mirrors etc. I already committed to this theme when I added the SS nerf bars. Unless I want to have it all plasti-dipped, lin-x'd, or powder coated (whatever). But I do appreciate the info.
And not to hyjack the thread but I will be getting in touch you eventually about some rear shackles.
