Grill Install

Hey guys. I just got my new color matched grill. I am looking for a reasonably priced grill insert. I decided againist doing my own. I got a quote for a grillcraft for 160$. I looked at the install and what a pain. I dont want to spend a whole day installing a grill and dont want to cut up my new shell. Are than any better alternatives out there for a decent price?

^^what he said^^. Hardest part is making that first cut. After that, there is no going back.

Possible choice...

Bull Shoals Lake 003.jpgI installed a Carriage Works powder coated aluminum grill...The old inner part of the grill had to be cut out but that was no problem. Very pleased with the quality of their product and the installation took about 3 hours. Price was around $200.00. Painted some of the parts behind the grill black and re-located the horns to behind the bumper.

Make your own man, get a sheet of aluminum mesh and make a template. cut out the old and in with the new! My mesh is in the mail on the way, about to do mine in a few days.

Did you get the 12 by 48 piece? I think I will be going the same route when I get back from this deployment. Make sure you post up how it went.

I got my Grillcraft last year and couldnt be happier. Its a pretty simple install, took be less than an hour. If you really dont want to do it yourself, just take it to a shop and they'll probably do it for like $40, but like i said just do it yourself its pretty simple.

I really do like the grillcraft grill, but I don't think I can justify the cost. I feel like it was a lot cheaper a year ago. the kit for it seems very simple and straightforward.

If I can make my own for a fraction of the cost, I am down for that. If I find a great deal for the grillcraft, I would go that route.
