I have a 2008 Dbl Cab Tundra 4x4 Tundra Grade without fog lights. Reading several threads I have seen the wiring for fog lights in my truck are there in the chrome bumper. I have seen some instructions on this site for installs but it seems they are for the steering column install. I am looking for instructions on how to connect the lights, how to run the wires into the cab and installing a on/off switch in a vacant plate next to the VSC on/off switch next to the steering column. My dealer says they have never installed these before and not sure how long it would take...getting frustrated...any help is appreciated
The light PIAA light kit is p/n 00113-22935-05452
Fog Light Kit - 540 Xtreme White Lamps
I have that kit on order and I should receive it Tuesday. I am sure I will be able to figure it out. I'll PM you when I install it and I'll get you some pictures. By the way, those are driving lights, not fogs.

I have the Tundra specific piaa kit installed. The kit is comes complete with everything needed for installation (lights, harness, brackets, and replacement light buckets). The install instructions are unclear. If you have a chrome bumper as I do, the bumper will have to be removed and disassembled in order to mount the brackets. Once the kit was installed I noticed quite a bit of light bounce while driving. I solved this by putting velcrow between the upper edge of the light and the light bucket. Although I spent more effort and time installing the kit than expected, the light output and factory look makes the effort well worth it.
TECH, great idea with the velcro. I too have the PIAA factory set, and the look and function is fantastic. I also get some minor bounce in the lights, only on the driver's side, and it is not often. Usually only when I after going over a speed bump or something. I have my local shop install them...
I mounted the lights today. I am very disappointed with this kit. the instructions are terrible. I did not remove the bumper. Mounting the bracket between the bumper and bumper mount would move the bumper back about 1/8 of an inch. I decided to modify the light bracket. I cut a notch out if the light bracket between the 2 mounting holes so it would fit on top of the bumper mount. The light bracket is now about 1/4 inch forward of where it would be if mounted between the bumper and bumper mount. I thought I might have to modify the light bucket because of this 1/4 inch, but I didn't. Tomorrow I'll wire them up post some pics.

If you purchase this kit, the first thing you should do after you open the box is take out the instructions and THROW THEM AWAY!!!! I have been rodding and modding cars, trucks, and motorcycles for over 40 years and these are the absolute worst instructions I have ever seen, bar none. I found these pictures and instructions on another forum Diy oem fog light alternative install - by a fellow named "Mango" and they were much more helpful, even though they are for a different set of lights. I would not attempt this kit if you are a novice. Even an experienced mechanic will be challenged by this kit. I took my time and did a nice neat install and spent about 6 hours on the installation. Feel free to PM me if you need help. Good Luck!!!

Here are some more pics of this install in response from questions from Lenny.
Here are my answers to Lenny's questions:
Hi Lenny,
Yea, it was a pain in the ass. It took me a good 6 hours. At first, I started to disassemble the bumper before I realized I could trim the brackets and avoid that. I like the OEM look, and the light output is acceptable. The dash switch has a LED that is green when off and red when on. My lights go off when the key goes off. I wired them to the fuse box above the drivers side kick panel. There are free spots in there you can tap in to. I suggest making cardboard templates of your cutouts to try. I bought stainless screws for the light buckets. The screws that came with the kit rusted rather quickly. When I did the install, it was very cold here and I was adjusting during the day and checking at night. (I didn't want to work at night). Adjusting requires removing the light, adjusting, and reinstalling so it took me a few days to get them adjusted properly. To adjust, park about 30' from a wall and adjust to about bumper height. That is a good place to start and then try them and see if you would like them a little higher. The one thing I would change if I could do it over is the switch location. The steering wheel blocks my view of it so I can't see if it is red or green. I may change it some day. Good luck, I will see if I have any other pictures that might help you. Let me know how you make out.
Tony
