Hey Tony thanks again for the write up and new pics. Still waiting for the kit to arrive, been stuck at Canada Customs for 6 days now . I will let you all know how I made out with it when I get it. Hopefully any day now.

No problem Lenny, if you have any other questions, just ask. Is that the Soupman in your avatar? I work around the corner from his original store in Manhattan.

He was based on a real guy

Soup man:The Original SoupMan™

He even has "Rules" for customers.

My Piaa kit arrived yesterday finally but after reading about all the issues I refused the package and order the kit that others seem to like from tundrapart.com. Hopefully it goes better than the Piaa kit. Wondering why if Piaa knew the bracket was lame, when they put out the new one they didn't notch out the bracket...doh

I paid 224.99 for it. It just arrived today so I will try the install on the week-end.

Just installed the kit and I am impressed with it. Took about 1 and 15 minutes to do it. Works like a charm...have to wait till it gets dark to adjust them though. I can turn the fogs on when the headlights are on either high or low beam or just the park lights . The lights fit firmly in the bezels without any slop. The switch fit perfectly in the dash and illuminates and almost looks factory as the switch is a little bit darker plastic than the dash and the light in it is greeen and not Toyota Orange. The only thing I did different instead of using wire ties to hold the bezels onto the bracket I used a couple of bolts and nuts. I highly recommend this kit to anyone thinking about it. IMO opinion it is a better kit than the PIA one.

How many other people have had issues with the PIAA fog lights vibrating/ shaking in the housing? I contacted PIAA this week and they told me I was the "first and only customer to bring this point out". The shaking is so bad that the simple idle of the engine makes the drivers side light jump all over the place. I had these lights installed and re-adjusted by a shop I VERY much respect, I am confident they were installed correctly.

That definitely will not happen at idle if they are installed properly. I suspect 1 or more of the mounting bolts are loose.

Do yourself a favor and go OEM. All you need is the light housings, switch, relay and the lights can be had on ebay for $109. I ended up paying $270 for everything and it came out looking totally factory and it was a piece of cake install too. If you want to go that route I can help you through it.

This is where I got the lights

OEM Replacement Tundra Fog Lights

Factory fog switch and black housings for the fogs can be had at your dealer. I paid $74 for switch and $76 for the housings. The relay is $60 but you can do without that by using a relay from auto zone for $20 or an aftermarket base relay for $3. I had to use the base relay because there was no wire from the computer to the fuse box. Go figure. No wire there but full light harness behind the fog lights. Yeah I know. Lame. Anyway came out looking badass. No rattling, snug fit just like oem.

Yes. really easy to install. Just pop off the steering wheel and slip it on.
