Lightbar question please...

Hey guys,
newb from Canada here...I posted this in the electric section with no reply, so I'll try here.
I just bought a new truck and I do alot of night driving in moose country in Northern Ontario.

Wanting to install light bar to a grill on a 2017 Limited. The Limited grill slats are more condensed that other models. Do guys install in that slot above license plate or other?

Hoping to enhance general visibilty and specifically shoulder of the road visibility.
Any suggustions appreciated.

Buy a light bar. Smittybilt or Nfab and load it up with as much power as you can.

What bar is that? I am looking at the 30" rough country toyota bumper kit single bar right now for my 2017 DC SR5 4x4 because it has good reviews and works for me price wise. I wasn't sure if you could fit a dual row bar in the bumper but would want to consider it if it doesn't require excessive mods. Thanks.

It is a 4" ToyTec lift with upper control arms. For the wheels and tires it is a set of 18x9 xD wheels with a 25mm wheel offset. The tires are 295/70R18 Cooper STT Pro for a little more of an aggressive look.

Heres what i ended up doing having the platinum grille, brackets and light bar came from rago fabrications which i believe are a site sponsor now (correct me if I'm wrong). The switch is a simple 3 way switch, i tapped into my high beams with an add-a-fuse under the fuel box in the engine bay so i did not have to splice any wires. So now when i hit the stalk for the high beams the light bar also comes on and off via the relay in the wiring harness. super simple to do. I think the whole ordeal was under $300.

Are you able to turn on the light bar without using high beams?

Yes i have three options with my light bar. I can have it controlled by the high beams when the switch is flipped to the 1 position, off in the middle position, and on whenever i want when its flipped to the 2 position. The switch that came on the wiring harness with my light bar was a standard on off switch with an led indicator so it had three wires running to it. I cut two of the wires and spliced my add-a-fuses on them and put one in the high beam fuse and one in just an ignition switched fuse. both of these wires run to one of the three prongs on my switch, the 3rd wire is the trigger for the relay that basically tells it when to turn off and on if that makes sense.
