DBL Cab rear seats...

Just wondering. Stock the DBL Cab rear seat backs don't fold down. Does any know if you can modify the seatbacks so you can fold them down and use the space behind them?

Yes this has been done, I came up with the mod last year and it works great! You start by removing the rear seats completely, just look under them and you will see what it takes to do this. You will see 2 plastic coated hooks at the top back of each seat, cut 1-1/4" off the hooks as shown in the pic and replace the seats. Now when you pull the latch and lift the seat you notice the back moves upward, just pull the back of the seat forward. When you put the seat back be sure and push the back of the seat slightly so as to re-engage the now shortened hooks. Let me know if you need any more help.

That guy did it the hard way. No need to remove the hooks, just cut em where they are with a sawzall or hack saw.

The dealer told me between now and the first week of July it's up to them now I'm just waiting. So I can pick it up and sign and every thing esle the test drive. That's all that's holding me but you can get a box made for sub's in a crewmax !

Please post up some pics when you get it! I have yet to see a subwoofer set up I like in a Crew Max. There just isn't enough room. The most I've seen is two 10's or one 12" sub. Bummer for the CM'S in this catagory.

I wish I would have known this BEFORE we went traveling to see Grandma's and family this past week with both my little girls, gear and all.
