Good one Skyhammer!!! Was always wondering about that but never made it to the manual. I do alot of gravel road driving when I fish and during hunting season. How's your truck holding up to the offroad/gravel/4x4 thing??? Still pretty smooth, paint holding up to rocks and what not... Any annoying sounds/squeeks??

I've replaced mine twice now (26,000 miles) -- both times I've been amazed at how filthy it is.

The truck just turned 1 year old yesterday, I have a little over 10k. The squeak I have is from my NAV screen over dirt roads, especially when it is cold in the cab.
It has squeaked ever since the dealer took out the screen to install the XM.They have worked on it 3 times and the fix just doesn't completely work.
I am very happy with over 3k miles in 4WD and most of the rest on 2 lane county roads.
I guess with a name like Steelhead you like to fish? I live in NW Calif. in the heart of Steelhead country. The S Fork of the Eel is clearing up and I will be out every day in my drift boat.
Where are you located?
If you want to see some of my fishing pictures and Redwood logging photos go to hooktender - Welcome To Skyhammer'sWeb Page
I haven't uploaded last years pictures yet as we boated 273 Steelhead and there are a lot of pictures.

What glove box? Top or bottom? Do you take both off? Is it just the 4 screws?

The bottom glove box, no tools are necessary, just squeeze the sides of the open box toward each each other and the box will come out. Then reach in and take off the filter cover. The cover has a latch on each side.
If in doubt on how to do this look in the owners manual under the HVAC section.

don't forget to disconnect the damper on the right-hand side before you squeeze the sides together... the damper will hold the glovebox in place.

I'm on my third filter now. I change mine when the air starts to smell bad.
