Solid Cherry Shift Knob

Well........Here it is. I just finished making a solid wood shift knob for my '07. It's made from some figured cherry wood that I kiln dried myself. I purposely made it "bulky" to fit the design of the truck. It feels great in the hand, and I think it looks great. What do you think, guys?

Looks Great!! Are these for sale? If so, how much and can you stain a different color?

Curious - what are the 2 switches next to your tow/haul switch for?

Thanks for the complement! While I didn't anticipate making any more, I would consider making them if the demand is there. To answer your question.......Yes. they can be made of different woods and colors.
The two switches next to the tow/haul switch are for my aux. lighting. One is for the driving lights, and one is for the fog lights.
Thanks again!

Beautiful job, Candyman! I'm a big fan of cherry wood myself. As it ages and darkens, you are always amazed at the figure that gets revealed. If I may ask, what type of finish did you use on your cabinets?

Finish

The finish that we use is Catalyzed Conversion Varnish -- in Satin. This is just a part of a basement remodel we did a month or 2 ago. I am working on another job right now that is the same wood and the same color.

Fireplace

I haven't talked to this guy since we did the job. (No news is good news). But we discussed that before we did the project. He has a glass enclosure in front of the fireplace so I am pretty sure that with it closed there won't be any problem. And there shouldn't be a problem unless he closes the damper enough to back a major amount of heat in to the room. With that said "I don't know".

If you mean the shift knob........I made another one in black walnut that looks really sweet. I mounted it in my truck, and just like the cherry wood better. I will sell you the walnut knob if you want it. Let me know and I'll post a picture if you're interested. Thanks.
