Overhead Compartments?

Just got my black 08 crewmax with two tone interior. Looking for ideas to do with all the compartments overhead. What has everyone used their overhead storage for? All 4 of them!

haha, they're there for when you decide to upgrade your interior. For example, the very first compartment is about to be taken up by my backup camera/monitor that I just bought. The two big ones in the back can be used for monitors if you install a DVD system. I'm sure a couple of them are meant to stay the way they are.

I have a Lake house in the North GA mountains. Used to live in Atlanta for 7 years. And visit often. Driven in Atl and the mountains and southern GA in all hours of the night and day over the past 4 years. Had the detector for 3 of them and before that used my dads old passport from the 80's. They both worked. get a quality detector. Thats like buying a Dynomax muffler at pepboys and then saying "All aftermarket exhausts and mufflers suck and dont give you any more power and dont improve fuel economy enough if at all".

O forgot to mention, My mom and I drove from Tampa, FL to Washington DC and Leesburg VA two christmases ago because we went for 2 weeks instead of the regular 1. Also stopped at the lake for a few day, but I digress. Radar detectors are illegal in VA. We brought mine, which has a feature that detects if cops are useing this special radar that detects radar detectors. When it senses it mine shuts down automatically, turns off all radar detection alerts me then fully shuts down. It worked flawlessly and we passed a few speed traps there and back.

I knew what I was getting myself into when I chose black. I don't mind. I'll just wash it once a week and wax it every 3 months. I've learned to accept minor scratches and swirl marks. I was gonna give myself a heart attack if I kept stressin over every little imperfecton in the paint.

Syber I feel for you. Every truck I ever owned was black. Now I have Nautical Blue which is dark also with the same problems. I use two Sear buffers. One to "WAX ON" and the other to "WAX OFF". If you ever use a bonnet on your buffer to put on wax and then a terry cloth to take off the wax has worked in on your buffer wheel and then bleeds though the terry cloth causing you to rewax while you're buffing off. That's why I got two. As for the over head console you're ready I put my sunglasses on my visor. Natural habit. Soon to put camera in that spot.
